Summary: Anthony DiNozzo had been searching for a family his whole life, and for a while, he genuinely believed he’d found one with his team at NCIS, which probably explained his willingness to sacrifice his own career, even when they expected him to take one for the team. Although, over the intervening years, his idealised family had left him demoralised and doubting himself, at which point, he realised he had to leave before they consumed him completely. Now Tony finally had a reason to resign due to a small child who depended on him to protect her, even if leaving the team didn’t automatically end the betrayals. As he walked away from his chosen family, little did Tony imagine how far they would need to go to find a safe and secure place to call home.

As the series continues, Atlantis has begun to heal, as the city recovers from almost losing their Commanding Officer and as it does, it becomes a haven to others who need sanctuary or a fresh start. A massive structural transformation is underway with the Inter-Stellar Bureau of Investigation, and its sister agency, the Atlantis Department of Justice now up and running. Meanwhile, a grave threat awaits Planet Earth and her Allies in the Milky Way, although somewhere in Pegasus, they are secretly making plans to resist the attack. And catching everyone off guard, some new allies arrive with a warning, bringing with them unexpected surprises that will force some people to examine their lives and make dramatic and difficult changes.
