Story

Notes

I know to a distressing degree that most of the details pertaining to law, medicine, social work, and police procedure in this story are not accurate. I did some research with assistance, but the majority of the time I sacrificed accuracy in favor of the story I wanted the characters to have. I’m only mentioning it because readers from those occupations might not want to read the story if inaccuracy upsets them.

Ok, it took me two days to read this becaus I had to go ask someone for spoilers before finishing – you are so good at building tension! I was absolutely on the edge of my seat for most of this story, but I’m so happy about the ending. Evan getting a new chance, Eddie already on track to have a better understanding of his own emotions, Maddie getting out from under her parents’ brainwashing years early. And Evan getting so much support from Athena and Michael, and the Diazes. <3 I never thought I could hate his parents more than I already did, but wow, you made them so believably evil from that position of privilege and power. Such powerful writing.
