I adore this art package. I have no idea what this story is about yet, but it makes me want to know. The cover art is absolute perfection, and even down to the cast image, everything flows perfectly. Thanks for joining the challenge again this year.
Thank you Jilly! Honestly, you were the inspiration for my choice this year. I haven’t watched all of NCIS but have read your DiNozzo fics because I love your writting, and when Hedwig’s summary popped-up I just loved it, so I knew I had to ask for this fic.
I love this challenge, every year I feel so inspired and it’s so nice to participate. So thank you for your kind words and thank you to everyone involved, I love being part of this community. <3
The art for this is so good! I love your use of color and how striking everything is. It is amazing on its own and now, having read the story, was a really beautiful complement.
I really love this artwork! I spent far too much time staring at the Tony picture with his red suit, trying to figure out if you put the pattern on it or if the pattern inspired the rest of the picture!
First of all, thank you for your comment!
Now as to the question, I knew the basic shape I wanted the cover to have (old Tony in the background, younger Tony walking forward, etc) and I couldn’t find a good picture like that, so I composited the Tony-in-the-red-suit one, but I also wanted all the pieces to have the overall feeling of printed files, or older printed graphics, that’s why I had chosen that halftone pattern to use. I felt that really meshed with the NCIS aesthetic.
So, the pattern is a lie? The idea came before it XD
The cover is very comic book or graphic novel like; it is cool. The story title gives me very James Bond movie vibes and so does the story itself in places, and the art matches that vibe quite well. I love b&w photos, so everything looks so good to me, lol. I think you made good choices for the cast pics, too. I really like the color scheme and how eveyrthing ties goether so well, even the collage at the end. Great job!
Oh, thank you!! I always try to look for slightly more glamorous pics for the cast, since it’s a piece “outside” the story? so the comment is very much appreciated 😀
Thank you for the lovely words.

Thank you so much! I thought a lot about the color palette and it inspired the rest of the art package, so you made me feel great with this comment XD
